I wet my pants!

One day... members of the animal kingdom had dinner at 'Key Wee' Express.

The Hamster, Kangaroo, Elephant, Ant and a friend gathered at a table to enjoy the food and drinks.

Elephant was telling Ant how she was working out on a new move the day before... She was so excited describing the moves that she punched to and fro to show Ant the actual moves. And suddenly... *splash!!!* the glass in front of Elephant toppled and the milo splashed towards the opposite direction of Elephant. The drink splashed on someone! Who?

Hamster! As Hamster was squeezed between the Kangaroo & the Ant, he could not response as quick as the both of them to avoid the mess... and there goes the Hamster's pants...

Elephant was still in shock when this happened.. whereas the Kangaroo & the Ant couldn't stop laughing as Hamster was busy wiping off the stain on his pants and trying hard to make sure his handphone was not soaked in milo!

After cleaning up... Hamster came back with a wet pants, cuz he tried to wash off the milo with water. As he pulled out the chair to take his seat, he squeezed towards Ant... to avoid sitting right in front of Elephant... in case of 'De Ja Wu'! *grin*

So... next time, when an Elephant is telling you stories about a new move.. make sure you be alert or wear a water/milo-proof pants!

Poor Hamster... "I wet my pants..." *sob sob*

But all of us had a good laugh... *smile*

C-A-R-E

This word come to me again & again lately.. especially after our Senior Pastor mentioned about it during our prayer on the 1st day of the new year 2008.

This is something I thought of…
C - Concern
A - Affirm
R - Respect
EEncourage

Looking up the dictionary… I found many definitions for CARE
–noun
1. a state of mind in which one is troubled; worry, anxiety, or concern: He was never free from care.

2. a cause or object of worry, anxiety, concern, etc.: Their son has always been a great care to them.

3. serious attention; solicitude; heed; caution: She devotes great care to her work.

4. protection; charge: He is under the care of a doctor.

5. temporary keeping, as for the benefit of or until claimed by the owner: He left his valuables in the care of friends. Address my mail in care of the American Embassy.

6. grief; suffering; sorrow.
–verb (used without object)
7. to be concerned or solicitous; have thought or regard.

8. to be concerned or have a special preference (usually used in negative constructions): I don't care if I do.

9. to make provision or look out (usually fol. by for): Will you care for the children while I am away?

10. to have an inclination, liking, fondness, or affection (usually fol. by for): Would you care for dessert? I don't care for him very much.
–verb (used with object)
11. to feel concern about: He doesn't care what others say.

12. to wish; desire; like: Would you care to dance?

Choose whichever definitions you like.. But, what is your own definition of the word CARE?

I ask this because I realize… sometimes when we show care and concern to others, do we actually do it out of genuine love for that person? Or did we do it out of responsibility?

When we ask a person, “How are you?”, “How is your day?”, “How have you been?”, “How’s work?” and the list can go on and on…

But.. how prepared are we to receive a reply such as, “Not good”, “I need help”, “Don’t think so”, “I wanna give up”…

Are we ready to give our genuine care and concern when we get the above replies? I ask myself this question.

I’m really challenged when our Pastor mentioned this…we change to being a CAREcell rather than a HOMEcell…

How can we help our people in the cell group, how can we CARE for them? By just asking them the above questions I’ve mentioned?

No! It’s not enough… we need to invest time, effort, or even money… sacrificing of our own personal pleasures… to care for a person.

A person can FEEL whether the CARE is genuine.

I can feel it too!

Why do we sometimes share our deepest thoughts and feelings to certain people but not to others?

Have you noticed yourself asking someone “How are you?” and their reply was “I’m ok”, but you knew that person is NOT ok?

Then, maybe it’s time to ask yourself… “Have I shown care & concern out of GENUINE LOVE for that person?”

God’s love for you and me…
Romans 5:8
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 15:12-15
12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

My answer was “I’m ok” to some, when they asked me “How are you?”

Time for some self evaluation. =)

What do you do when you have a 2-hour lunch break?

At the place where I work, we get 2-hour lunch break on Fridays. Normally, around 11.45am, you will see people started getting excited, ie discussing where to go for lunch, what to have for lunch etc etc…

Today.. the same scenes in the office. It’s just like any other Fridays...

What about me?

I grabbed my gym bag and walk towards tower 2, where the GYM was situated. On my way.. I noticed the quietness in the cubicles everywhere… only a few people stayed back, either they are having a late lunch or they are still busy with their work.

Along the way… I was telling myself… “You better not do this for a short while only! Make sure you persevere till you see results and reach the TARGET you have set for yourself!”

Reminds me of my conversation with a friend.
me: i really need start go gym.. new yr resolution.. hehehehhe… muz really do it la...
Friend: okay... see when u will say "today very tired lah... tmr 1st lah"..... hahahah
me: yalor.. sigh.. u kno me eh? hahahahaha.... muz kick out this bad habit of mine...
Friend: say easy lah... when it comes, it will b very difficult...hehehehe
me: i know.. but i have Mt KK to look forward la.. lol
Friend: yalah... so really hv to kum fei... kekekeke
me: memang la......:P:P got to meet target... then look good, more fit.. then oso feel good... easier to climb oso.. hehehehe

Yes.. I have decided to lose weight, again! Hahaha.. I have wanting to do it all this while, but have always failed.. instead.. I grow even “bigger” each day with the amount of food I consumed… results of gluttony… *grin*

My wish? To really DO IT this time, come back and write a blog about me manage to shed a few KGs… hehehehe…

A trip to Giant

To most people.. it’s juz another routine trip to Giant to get their monthly groceries…

But to me.. at least to me... it’s a memorable one.. =)

After dinner, as usual.. me & Sasa chatted at the sink while doing our routine post-dinner clean up. Then I asked her.. “Wanna follow me go Giant?” (normally I would expect her answer to be NO, as she doesn’t like going there.. no nice clothes to see I supposed.. haha.. ) but this time, she said “Yes!”, cuz she is so FREE, nothing to do oso.. hahaha…

So, after clean up, off we go to Giant. I have a few items scribbled on a small piece of paper – my shopping list.. hehe…

When we reached there, I juz picked up a basket and off we go to the location for my 1st item on the list. As I put in items into the basket, I started complaining..

Me : Wah! So heavy…
Sasa : Who ask u sooooo stup**? Should have taken the trolly mah! No need carry.. push only…(followed by a big grin and chuckle… )
Me : Ya hor… never tot of that.. initially I tot we’re juz gonna get a few items.. never tot it wud be so heavy mah… hmmm…. Now I know how it felt to be getting groceries every month…

Believe it or not… I seldom visit Giant on my own.. unless there’s something I intend to buy. The other trips were with mum where she will get the groceries and me pushing the trolley…

But this time, I suddenly offered to do this groceries shopping… and the feeling was good! Felt like I’m contributing more to the family I supposed? Hehe…

Almost done with shopping.. and the basket was so heavy! I complain all the way to the cashier.. and of course have to bear with Sasa’s non-stop teasing cuz of this.. but it was fun! I enjoyed it!

The bill came up to quite a big amount.. tho we got only a few items.. but the price tag to these items weren’t from the lower price range..

So… tat’s what grocery shopping is all about!

And when we carried the stuffs to my car..

Me : I hope mum won’t complain I never did any grocery shopping for the family
Sasa : Oooh.. now I know why u suddenly wanted to come Giant.. u wanna keep her mouth shut eh? So that she won’t bug u about this… Hehehehe….

Hmm… she’s quite right tho.. hahaha… But I guess for me.. It’s something which I know I should start doing… at least for the family….

Another good start to the new year… *smile*

Heart Transplant – FOC!

Yesterday, I was chatting online with a friend and one of our topic was our new year resolution.. and I told this friend… I want a Heart transplant. =P

Our conversation wents like this..

me: hehehe.... lots of things to restore oh..... including my lost passion.. hehehe... my heart transplant.. hahaha
Friend: u need a good cardiologist.... XXX got one very good one... hehehehehe
me: apa la.. hahahhahahahahahahhahaha
Friend: heart transplant mar...heheheheheheh… but very expensive lah....better dun lah...
let God operate for u..
me: my heart transplant is from God wan.. FREE.. hehehehe.. but i reckon God is starting to work d.. cuz i think abit melt d la.. hahahaha
Friend: wah God din use knife ah... He used M&M to melt ur heart... hahhahaha

And this morning, as I was reading this daily devotion… it speaks of this!

God can create something from nothing. He can take a heart that is broken, impure, or failed and with it create a heart that is whole, pure, and purposeful. God loves you and wants to pour his grace into your life. He wants to see you pure, and he wants to see you succeed – so much so that he takes an active role in creating your new heart and bringing order to the chaos of your life.

Wow! God's hand is really working! He’s working so hard to perform a heart transplant on me! And it’s Free of Charge! All I need to do is to present myself to Him!

I still remember my last blog about heart being cold…

On 31 Dec, I was typing a blog about 2007, but somehow, I juz can’t continue typing.. my mind juz got stuck. Maybe 2007, to me, it wasn’t a year I have much to say… or maybe.. my heart juz gone so cold that I don’t know how to appreciate what I have and how God has worked things out for me… but…. I know.. God is still waiting for me PATIENTLY…

But since yesterday.. I changed my MSN message to
“Not WAITING anymore… FOUND d… SLOWLY…SLOWLY… SLOWLY…

My heart melted...

Somehow… on the 1st day of 2008… I started to read a book given as a gift by my Pastor(handed to me by a friend, cuz I missed the watchnight service on the last day of 2007 as I was not feeling well), the book entitled “25 Ways to Win With People” by John Maxwell.

I read 5 chapters of this book as I was hanging out at a friend’s house on that day. And I started with our church bible reading plan.. started reading 3 chapters of the Book of Genesis. That to me is really a great start to the year!

And last night, I read another 5 chapters of the book and 5 chapters of Book of Joshua. And I enjoyed doing that!

And I want this to continue… and don’t give up easily on this as I persevere to start with the BASICS, to read God’s word, and to read books which would help me grow spiritually, and strengthen my walk with God.

I know God is saying… I’m WAITING… WAITING… STILL WAITING… for me to go back to Him.

Happy New Year!!!
