God will provide...

Last night was our 1st prayer meeting of 2008. Our Pastor started it with a time of testimony. Many went out to share their testimonies, on how God has blessed them in the year 2007.

Some shared about salvation of their loved ones, favour from God in business, financial blessings in their education etc.

During prayer time, we break into groups to pray. And Pastor reminded us, every prayer to include the word MORE, as we ask for MORE from God.

After the group prayer, people started going out to pray. One prayer caught my attention.

Part of it went like this...
"I pray that when we pray, it's not only in words, but in action! To start to be practical and start to ACT based on our prayer!"

This really reminds me of someone who always says this.. "God will provide. Let's ask God's favour in this area"

Yes, I do believe very strongly that God will provide and He will pour His blessings upon us. But.... as we ask for God's favour, if all we did was sitting there doing nothing, do you expect God to bless us?

No! Faith comes with ACTION! We need to act on it!

When we asked God to bless our business, our career.. besides praying for God's favour, we also ask God for wisdom and strength as we work hard for it. As God sees our heart, our work, He will open doors for us.

But if we were to do nothing except sitting in front of the TV everyday, but expect God to perform a miracle on our financial situation... then what can we expect from God?

I sincerely pray for this person.

"Father God, I ask for your forgiveness as I have developed bitterness towards this person. I ask that you cleanse my heart from bitterness. I ask for your hands to work in this person, to make this person realize that Faith without Action is DEAD. I pray that You speak to this person. I have given up with earthly ways... I ask for your heavenly ways to touch this person's heart and forgive him for his pride and stubbornness. I ask that You grant favour and pour Your blessing towards this person and grant financial breakthrough to this person. I know that you are a God who heals, I ask for your healing towards my own heart and this person's heart. In Jesus' Name, Amen!"

I sincerely pray for a breakthrough in 2008.
